Valley of the Kings

Nestled within a secluded valley lies the legendary Valley of the Kings, home to 63 magnificent tombs adorned with stunning artistic treasures. This sacred burial ground holds the remains of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1570–1050 BC), including Tutankhamun, Seti I, Ramses the Great, Hatshepsut, and many more.

Hatshepsut Temple

Rising majestically from the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Built in the 15th century BC, this awe-inspiring monument honors both the god Amun and the legacy of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC), one of Egypt’s most remarkable female rulers. Its terraced design and detailed reliefs make it a true wonder of the ancient world.

Colossi of Memnon

Standing guard at the entrance of Amenhotep III’s (1391–1353 BC) lost mortuary temple are the towering Colossi of Memnon. These twin statues, though damaged by an earthquake and later restored, remain a powerful testament to the pharaoh’s enduring legacy.

The group will return to the Nile Cruise in Luxor for lunch and dinner, followed by a relaxing overnight stay on board.

After enjoying breakfast aboard the Nile Cruise, the group will set off with their tour guide to explore two of Egypt’s most magnificent temples:

Edfu Temple

Step into the grandeur of the Ptolemaic era at the Temple of Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient wonders. Built between 237 BC and 57 BC, this stunning temple embodies the legendary victory of Horus over the evil god Set, immortalized in its intricate carvings and towering columns.

Kom Ombo Temple

Perched on the "Hill of Gold," the twin temples of Kom Ombo date back to 180–47 BC, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Haroeris. Marvel at its unique dual design, ancient surgical instruments, and fascinating calendar inscriptions, a glimpse into the advanced knowledge of the time.

Meals & Overnight

After an enriching day of exploration, the group will return to the Nile Cruise for a delicious lunch and dinner, followed by a relaxing evening on the river.

After breakfast onboard your Nile cruise, you’ll set out with your expert tour guide to explore the wonders of Aswan, including:

Aswan High Dam

Built in the 1960s, this engineering marvel was designed to regulate the Nile’s annual floods and generate hydroelectric power. The High Dam created Lake Nasser, a vast reservoir that secures Egypt’s water supply and supports its agricultural future.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Carved directly from the bedrock, this massive Unfinished Obelisk was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut and intended to stand 42 meters tall at the Karnak Temple. Abandoned due to a crack, it now offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient stone-working techniques, serving as an open-air museum of Pharaonic craftsmanship.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, the goddess of motherhood and magic, this stunning temple dates back to the Ptolemaic era (circa 3rd century BC). Adorned with intricate carvings depicting the legend of Osiris, it stands as one of Egypt’s most beautifully preserved temples, relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the High Dam.

After a day of exploration, the group will return to the cruise for lunch and dinner, followed by a relaxing overnight stay on the Nile.
